This iconic standard crew neck T-shirt from Good On is crafted from 5.5oz jersey fabric using high-quality USA cotton.

With an exquisite fabric feel and size balance designed to suit the Japanese climate and physique, it offers comfortable wear as daily attire.

Good On's Commitment 1: Sewing

For the armholes, hem, sleeves, and neck ribbing, we use durable two-needle coverseam stitching, which is gentle on the skin and can withstand our unique garment-dyeing process that places significant stress on the product.

Sewing with a longer stitch pitch allows the texture from garment dyeing and the aging effect from wear to appear more distinctly and beautifully.

To prevent stretching around the collar, the inner line running from the back of the neck across both shoulders is reinforced with tape made from the same fabric (octopus binder treatment).

Good On's Commitment 2: Material

The material used is high-quality USA cotton, which is gentle on the skin and highly durable.

The "COTTON USA" mark found on Good On products is a testament to quality, awarded only to products that use over 50% (this 50% means 100% American cotton) globally recognized high-quality American cotton and have cleared certification by the CCI (Cotton Council International) and Japan's stringent quality standards.

Good On's Commitment 3: Fabric

The 100% cotton 5.5oz jersey (plain knit) fabric adopted for Good On's basic models.
It uses 18-count open-end yarn made from USA cotton, achieving a moderate thickness, natural elasticity, and excellent durability. Through repeated wear and washing, the fabric gradually softens, developing a rich texture.

Only the gray color uses a deep heather gray fabric, woven from twisted white and charcoal gray threads. The fabric composition (100% cotton, or 90% cotton / 10% rayon) also varies by product for this color.

Good On's Commitment 4: Cutting Pattern

Good On uses a specialized pattern that accounts for fabric shrinkage due to garment dyeing.
Fabric shrinks significantly during the dyeing, washing, and high-temperature drying processes, so the pattern is designed with these changes in mind. Furthermore, since cotton shrinkage rates vary by fabric, the pattern is adjusted for each material (LOT), and prototypes are repeatedly made to achieve the optimal size.

For standard short-sleeved T-shirts, 5 to 6 different patterns are used for each size, and corrections may even be made during the season. This thorough design ensures that the garment maintains a well-balanced silhouette after washing, creating a long-lasting piece that can be cherished.

Good On's Commitment 5-1: Reactive Dyeing

A dyeing method where dye penetrates deep into the fibers and is firmly fixed through chemical reaction.
It features beautiful color development and a natural finish that brings out the original texture of the fabric, with little fading or discoloration from washing, allowing you to enjoy the initial color for a long time.

Good On's Commitment 5-2: Pigment Dyeing

A unique dyeing method from Good On, where specially blended pigments are fixed to the fabric surface, creating a rich, vintage-like appearance.
With repeated wear and washing, the surface color gradually fades, deepening in texture like denim jeans. You can enjoy the "aging evolution" where the garment grows into a unique piece of your own the longer you wear it.

Good On's Commitment 5-3: Yarn Dyeing

A dyeing method where yarn is dyed before the fabric is woven.
Since the dye is firmly fixed, it offers beautiful color development and excellent durability against fading and discoloration.
Metal Gray, a representative yarn-dyed color, uses heather gray fabric woven from pre-dyed variegated yarns, offering rich, deep tones, a soft and fluffy texture, and a light, comfortable feel.

Good On's Commitment 6: Size

Good On products are finished with the fabric pre-shrunk to its maximum extent during the dyeing, washing, and drying processes. This minimizes significant shrinkage after washing subsequent to purchase, allowing you to wear the garment with a consistent size for a long time.

On the other hand, cotton, being a natural material, has varying shrinkage rates depending on the fabric and dyeing conditions. Therefore, there may be slight individual differences in measurements even for the same product and size. This is a characteristic unique to garment-dyed products and is not a defect.

With repeated wear, the fabric will gradually conform, and the sizing will naturally settle. Please enjoy the unique, individual character of each Good On piece, prioritizing texture and material feel.
