What is Reverse Weave?

A manufacturing method that uses the fabric horizontally.

Regular sweatshirts are vertical

Introducing "EXPANSION GUSSET" on both sides, which was not present in the 1938 1st model, to reduce the effect of horizontal shrinkage and allow for ease of movement.

"REVERSE WEAVE®", for which a second manufacturing patent was obtained in 1952.

Fabric

Tag

The collar tag, which displays the patent numbers for "REVERSE WEAVE?" and "EXPANSION GUSSET", has also been faithfully reproduced.
Commonly known as the "Tataki Tag".

The wide neckline makes layering easy.

Shoulders

Set-in sleeves that were not present in the 1st model.

Ribs

The long ribbing can be folded or left as is.

The absence of the C-logo patch on the left sleeve is also true to the original specifications.

This is the origin of the Reverse Weave that continues to this day.

History of Champion

Champion is a long-established sportswear brand founded in Rochester, New York in 1919.
Subsequently, it began supplying highly functional and durable wear for university sports teams (American football and basketball), building trust and a solid reputation.
Sam Friedland devised the "Reverse Weave® method."
"REVERSE WEAVE®", for which a second manufacturing patent was obtained in 1952.
